1860 Ames Cavalry Sabre

Description:
This Ames 1860 model is dated 1865 and was govt. inspected by "GWC".

Condition
The leather grip wrap and wire are very good and all original. The brass hilt shows a dark untouched patina with some crusted areas. The blade retains its original leather washer and has some areas of rust spotting. The scabbard is a very dark uncleaned age patina with just a couple of very minor dents. This is a good honest untouched as found Civil War sword.
