Ames Model 1860 US Marked Sword Chicoppe Ma Dated 1862

Description:

Pretty standard Civil War weapon. Hilt is stamped Ames , Chicoppe MA 1862 and inspector marks. Blade has perfect tip, is a nice overall patina and does not appear to have ever been sharpened. The leather wrapped handle still has all the gold braid. Brass hand guard is lovely uncleaned patina. Scabbard is basically a bumpy dark brown.
