If you are a serious Civil War or blade collector, this is an item you most likely do not have and may never have seen or have opportunity to get again. A very well made item complete with the scabbard with both in excellent condition. This is the first one of these I have encountered in many years of collecting militaria, never see another, so the rarity level of this childs sword on a scale of one to ten is a 50 and priced accordingly. The sword is just at 18 and 1/2 inches long and the blade is just about 12 inches long. The scabbard is in excellent condition and has some crazing to the leather. The Ames style American eagle clutching laural leaves and arrows is very well articulated both sides of the pommel.
