CIVIL WAR CONFEDERATE OVAL C S BELT PLATE

I have confirmed this is a Confederate box plate formed into a buckle for the cross strap perhaps. I can find no others like this one anywhere on the internet. Someone suggested reproduction but if it is then whoever is making these made only this one.
The face has a mellow mustard tone with some variations of green verdigris, and darker spots of tarnish. There is some oxidation to areas of the lead fill, and.the hooks show age toning where they are not covered or splattered with lead. This shows finishing file marks on the back edge.  Extremely rare, you will not find another like this anywhere other than this one. Guaranteed an Original Civil War period made item.
