An Early 1800's Civil War Fluted Powder Flask For A Large Pistol Or Rifle With Its Original Green Cord On It In Mint Untouched Condition. Maker marked on the brass top "J. MATTHEWMAN". The large fluted flask is in mint condition throughout with no nicks or dents in it. The body is fully fluted and retains all of its original factory brown lacquer on it. The top & spout are also mint and also retain their original finish on them. The original green carry cord is excellent as shown. The flask operates perfectly. The flask measures 8 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide at the bottom widest point. the top is 1 1/2 inches wide just below the spout.
