Complete Colt 1860 Army Civil War Rig (Holster, Belt, Buckle, Cap Pouch, Cartridge Box)
FREE SHIPPING!
Description: Here is a fairly nice Civil War belt rig... HOLSTER. For Colt 1860 Army. This is the later holsters made from 1863 to 1865.. It has the half round latch tab sewing with rivet. Lower section of the latch tab is MIA. These were used when the earlier holsters began to wear through as these were a bit better constructed. Over all the leather has about 90% finish. Most of the finish loss is on the rear belt loop as you can see. It has crazed over time typical from use. The leather is still very soft and pliable. All the main seam stitching is intact and tight with no rips or tears. All the rivets on the loop are intact. Sewn in tor plug still intact but some of the stitching is missing but still is solid. Two small holes on the front of flap and one on the top of the flap . Top of the belt loop is good with no rips or tears. A lot of these you find are torn through from heavy use. CARTRIDGE BOX. These were to hold the paper cartridges packets of the .36 or .44 caliber. This also has the half round stitching with rivet. Latch tab is strong and intact. All the stitching is strong and completely intact. The finish on the front of the flap is gone and the leather has turned dark from use. The finish inside on the front of the box is all there with slight crazing. Some finish remains on the back. Both belt loop are very solid and secure. Both of the double inner portions are intact. No rips or tears. The leather is also soft and pliable. EARLY CAP POUCH. This is a very nice example of the very hard to find in any condition early cap pouch. It has the single line stitching on the latch tap with no rivets. The finish on this is mostly complete with very little crazing to the finish. It is still soft and pliable. Both belt loops are strong and intact. Note no rivets on the belt loops also. It has the inner flap intact but one of the "ears" is MIA as you can see in the photo. All of the stitching is strong and intact. No rips or tears. No wool or pick inside. I bought this cap pouch on this belt many years ago and you can not remove it from the belt. The leather belt loops have slightly shrunk and you can not remove it from the belt without damaging the loops. You do not want to do this !!! Probably been together since the war or at least for a very long time. BELT and BUCKLE. Nice NCO belt and buckle. Very soft and pliable. No rips or tears. The finish remaining is about 80% and has crazed and some flaking. Amazingly It still has both original adjustment loops intact. The buckle still shows very nice detail but shows its age of course. Latch tab on the back has no damage. Just a nice belt and buckle. TERMS: Hawaii and Alaska buyers please contact me for a shipping quote, otherwise shipping to the Continental US States will be FREE.
