An Early & Scarce Civil War Emmerson & Silver Model 1840 Non-Commissioned Officers Sword In NIce Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The scarce sword has a nice blade and markings. The nice blade is marked on one side "EMMERSON & SILVER/TRENTON N.J" and on the other "US/DFM/1863". The original brass guard and grip are very nice and very untouched with a natural patina on it. The nice metal scabbard & brass fittings are also nice & untouched as shown. The drag is U.S. Inspected "DFM". Emmerson & Silver was the only non-com sword maker that used a metal scabbard. All the other makers used leather scabbards. This Is An Early & Scarce Civil War Emmerson & Silver Model 1840 Non-Commissioned Officers Sword Dated 1863 With A Nice Untouched Look To It!
