A rare Indian wars era tunic Guaranteed original 1880's / 1890's, U.S. Blue Army / Cavalry tunic. This tunic is in great condition. The Blue and green colors are excellent and vibrant.....not faded much, if at all....a little dusty. No rips or loose stitching, just a couple of moth nips smaller than a pea. This tunic was probably used by a Adjutant(officers personal staff). soldier probably working on his Cavalry promtion / boards.( note no sewing or buttons). The Cavalry boards(found inside a pocket) would make the uniform correct for promotion to Cavalry 2nd leutenant. A rare, rare find that will make a fabulous addition for any Western, Indian wars era display. Offers welcome.
