Revolutionary period 1776 scissors in the shape of an early Flintlock Pistol The cutting blades are steel as are the pistol lock assembly. tThe balance, trigger guard, grip and finger holes are brass. The interior of the left blade when held in the right hand has two brass inlays, one has the appearance of a Crown and the other the remains of a Star. The Crown indicates maker's Royalty Quality and the Star indicates it is "High Quality Steele . The left action plate is lighttly engraveFor the serious Militaria collector or Revolutionary war period collector it doesn't get better. Great Rarity and great condition.
