Inuit Fossilized Walrus Jawbone Walrus on Ice & bird Scrimshaw Mary L. Seppilu signed

Price reduced  $200.00  to $685.00This is a highly polished  jawbone of a walrus heavy and measuring 10 inches long by about 4 inches at the widest point.

It almost has the look of a whales body. There is a wonderful scrimshaw on the side of a Walrus with full tusks on an ice flow with birds in the sky.

There is a walrus Ivory Native Inuit standing on the flat surface on the jaw. This is no small carving. The Inuit measures 

3 3/4 inch by 2 inches across his body. Crosshatching is evident. Great detail including face, hood, boots and gloved hands. 

The piece is signed on the underside.. This will be the centerpiece of your collection.
