Description:
Antique Bowie Knife with Native American Indian Beaver Tail Skin knife sheath. C. Late 1840s -1850s.
very good collector grade condition. Extremely rare. Not the usual Indian knife sheath normally seen for sale. The knife guard was removed to be comfortable in a variety of grips. Beaver tail hide laid over a fringed tanned leather liner and sewn with sinew.
Most likely made by Northern Plains/Woodlands Indian either Crow or Blackfoot?
