Spiked Fighting Axe
Description: Spiked fighting axe from Fort Wayne, Indiana. A rare Blackhawk war era spiked belt axe with it's original shaft. Made by Richard Whitehouse, US Indian Office blacksmith at Fort Wayne, Indiana. His initials are stamped on the blade. The original ash haflt, although small makes it a perfect belt axe. Hand forged and is very similar to Petersons #79. Blade 6 1/2" Overall 10". Circa 1820. SOLD |
