An extremely rare Dupont Shotgun Powder Poster from 1913 that was done by Lynn Bogue Hunt. This original poster had the bottom trimmed off and was framed in a beautiful oak period frame with the original antique wavy glass. It measures 19 3/4 inches wide and 20 1/2 inches tall without the frame. Beautiful color with no fading and no damage besides being trimmed long ago. This is one of the most desirable sporting posters ever produced in the heyday of American Sporting Art. The artist "Lynn Bogue Hunt" was also one of the most celebrated and desirable Sporting artists to ever paint a canvas. The original posters were not plain paper, they were a fine lithograph mounted on a linen backing for strength. It's plain to see the linen when examining the poster. The copies of this poster lack the detail and color of this original. This poster would enhance the finest of game rooms or homes of a serious Sporting Art Collector.
