Antique Match Safe/vesta in the shape of an American Indian head. This is a very old match safe. The top is hinged and is tight. The knurled surface on the bottom is were the match head would strike. I believe it is nickel with a old gold wash finish. See pictures. Almost no ware in beautiful condition. Measures 2 1/8" tall and 1 5/8" wide. This match-safe will be a prize possession of yours. This vintage match safe dates from the late nineteenth century. The ring on the side will be perfect to fasten to you watch chain. Excellent shape for the age. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. Lid opens to almost 90 degrees and closes with a secure click. Hinge is excellent. The collectors have been hard after these and that makes them hard to find. Will hold the small vest pocket matches. We include a package of 10 boxes of the vest pocket matches.
