Description:
PERKINS-CAMPBELL 1911 leather holster made and stamped in 1917 during WWI and carried by Captain J. V. Birch, Company "C" , United States Army. This holster is all original, nice soft leather, no repairs and still has the original leather lanyard. Captain Birch carried a Colt 1911 .45 made in 1918 which I still have. A real quality and functional piece of WWI history and good for another 109 years! The Perkins-Campbell Company , based in Cincinnati, Ohio, was established in 1878 manufactured over $8,000,000 of military leather goods including saddles, tack and holsters. While the company is no longer in operation, their leather products, particularly the 1918 Calvary McClellan Saddle, remain highly prized by military collectors and historians. Reasonably priced at $225 with free mailing. Text or call me at 318-780-4242 if you are interested.
