Description:
A very appealing looking example of a US 1918 mark 1 trench knife from World War One, they also reissued these in WW2. It's seen its fair share of use, but it's not a beater, by any means. The upper scabbard prong is broken. It's an lf&c grip and scabbard with an au lion blade. This is likely an original period repair or blade swap due to a bulk arsenal cleaning. The consistent condition and the fact that the pieces are very tight makes one of those two most likely. Either way it means the thing must have gotten used a lot. Asking 1700 or best offer.
