About Us: I have been buying, selling, trading all types of militaria for about 35 years, primarily German, Japanese WW 2 and Civil War items. While I list items for sale for a cash price, I am open to offers, cash and trade or straight trades. I will combine items for shipping and make deals on multiple item purchases. Please ask any questions you have that are not covered by the information provided in the listing. Items sold are believed to be, with all available information, original period items unless otherwise stated. Return if not as described for refund minus shipping. Thanks, Mark
SS Cloth Bill Infantry Piped Crusher
Description: Very well made and put together, ask for additional pictures. This visor is available for $1500.00 plus $25.00 for SH&I in the lower 48 states. I will ship worldwide, send your address for SH&I costs for international addresses.. I will consider offers on this visor. Some History. I researched all available information when the ballpoint pen was invented, and then came into general use commercially. I found four different dates historically. Seems ballpoint pen was first concieved and developed in 1888 though had limited application and use. Then apparently it was refined or improved in 1910-1912 though there is little information about the effectiveness of that instrument or availability to the general public. Next mention that I find of a commercial effort to produce a viable ballpoint pen is when a Hungarian newspaper guy presented a ballpoint pen he had refined at a trade show in Budapest in 1930. So this type of pen it seems was available when and where this hat was made from what I can determine. Now, the word "Luxus" is used in Slavic countries which coinsides with what the rest of the information I located suggests, that this is an original item from that period and location. I can find no other visor like this one being sold as a reproduction on the internet or anywhere else. This hat appears to be correctly made. While I will consider offers on this, I am really looking for documentation of either availability of another like this one as a reproduction or more information about the use of ballpoint pens during this period, post 1930. Thanks, Mark SOLD |
