This is a very rare model 1933 SA Dagger ( STURMABTEILUNG DIENSTDOLCH) by EUGEN HAERING OF SOLINGEN. This is rated 9 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity rating. The blade looks on this one nearing excellent,crisp acid etched''ALLES FUR DEUTSCHLAND'' motto and ''EUGEN HAERING SOLINGEN'' manufacturer's mark both perfectly exicuted , extremly clear. The dagger fit perfectly in the scabbard, and the blade comes to a perfect point. The crossgraining is wonderfuleasily visible , through the full lenght of the blade. The cutting edge other then having a super tiny marks from being taken in and out is near perfect.This dagger has had an upgrade, original period iodized SS scabbard , a small amount of iodized paint loss as expected. The solid nickel silver fittings are amazing with 85% of the factory lacquer still intact. The tip of the scabbard has a tiny dent ,with all screws intact , this dagger appears to have never been apart. The silver inlayed eagle and SA inlayed button are minty and perfect.The crossguard matches the scabbard in wear color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped Wf (WESTFALEN).
