"Eagle Head Widmann Style Officers sword (SW1886) CONSIGNMENT

Description:
"Eagle head Officers sword with a 30"" floral etched blade with eagle and patriotic motifs present, 16"" fuller. Brass shield, guard and Eagle head pommel are in very good condition, Ivory wire wrapped handle showS light surface cracks. Inscribed on the left side is a faint "" For God and Country"". Scabbard is a dark grey patina with scattered discoloration present. An old tag on the scabbard reads ""Infantry Officers Sword/Captured at Roanoke Is.1862/ By Private BAT?ELL,PA. VOL."" Consignment
