Description:
"A fine modern gendaito signed by Toyozumi Mitsunori (Kawachi no Kami) and dated July 1984 (Showa 59). The tang inscription further notes the blade was made for Mr. Yamano Gentaro, with the horimono carved in collaboration with Mitsunori himself. The blade measures 22 5/8 inches (57.5 cm), mounted in plain shira-saya. It features a bright gunome-midare hamon, well-executed bo-hi with soe-bi, and a bold horimono (stylized ken motif with bonji) carved into the ji. The kissaki is medium length with a clean boshi, and the blade remains in excellent polish with no visible flaws. This sword represents a high-quality late 20th-century commission, blending traditional forging with decorative horimono, (dallas location)
