"U.S. Eagles Head Officers Saber (SW1258)

Description:
"U.S. Eagles Head Officers saber. Circa 1810s-1820s. Blade is approximately 30". It retains most of its fire blue finish and has gold inlay floral motifs along with a panoply of arms and liberty cap. Grip is ivory and has a crack on right side. Langets have a scepter over a pole axe. Quillion is a dragon’s head. Leather scabbard has a brass fittings. Stitching is coming loose. Good-very good overall condition. A handsome early American officers saber.
