Indian Princess Head Pattern Militia Officers Sword - Brass Scabbard
Description:
Indian Princess Pattern American Militia Officer's Sword with Scabbard. 1830s. single fuller straight blade, with gold accented engraving set against niter blue fields on the bottom third of the blade. Brass scabbard. This sword has a broken knuckle guard and is missing. The wire wrapping and Mother of Pearl are all very nice. The scabbard has several dents and is missing the throught. Most of the blue and gold still remain on the blade. I do not see any makers marks on either side of the blade and no marking on the scabbard. The blade is about 30” long and is 7/8” wide and ¼” thick. The scabbard is 30 ¼” long and is 1 ¼” wide.
