An exceptional Bavarian Cavalry Officer’s Saber of combat weight, but with a superb Damascus blade with gold inlays. The single edged blade has a massive double edged point, and features the beautiful ladder pattern Damascus. The gold inlays include the maker: “LORENZ STANKO MUNCHEN." On one side a gold panel reads, “Echt Damast" and on the other side, “Eisenhauer." In the middle of the blade on both sides is a larger panel with the Bavarian national motto, “In Treue Fest" in gold on blue. The hilt is relatively plain and workmanlike, being a simple “D" guard, with black lacquered wood. The sword retains its sword knot. There is no scabbard.
