"Beautiful Ames Militia Officer Presentation Sword to Captain L Lambert (SW1316)

Description:
"Made in 1856. Beautiful Ames Presentation sword to Captain L. Lamber of the Troy City Rifle Company. Blade is 31 inches and the sword is 38" overall length. Grip is beautiful engraved with an Eagle Head Pommel. Grip is hexagon in shape made out of silver and engraved. Scabbard is gold washed and has relief furniture. The front of the scabbard is marked “Captain L. Lambert" The back of the scabbard is marked “Presented by the/ Troy City Rifle Company/ to their Captain,/ Jan. 7. 1856" Blade has minor staining with all of the acid etching beautiful and present. Gorgeous pre-Civil War Ames Preservation Sword!
