"U.S. Model 1840 Medical Staff Sword (SW1889) Consignment

Description:
"Civil War era Medical Staff sword issued to Surgeons and Assistant Surgeons, Blade is 29 3/4"" in length with the etching dull and areas of discoloration visible. Brass hilt and handle are orante with ""MS"" on the shield shaped langets, opposite side is blank. Unfortunately no maker mark is visible. Scabbard is in very good condition with mounts present. CONSIGNMENT
