"U.S. Model 1850 Foot Officers Sabre (SW1235)

Description:
"U.S. Model 1850 Foot Officers Sabre. Presented to LT. R Kramer by S.L.I. (Summerville Light Infantry) on Oct 14th, 1872. Ricasso is marked “Ames MFG Co. Chicopee Mass". Blade is etched with foliates, and a panoply of arms. Grip has ray skin and wire wrap. Leather scabbard is marked with inscription of presentation by throat.
