"U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword by Ames (SW1841)

Description:
"

Civil War era Sword by Ames dated 1863, blade in 34.5"" in length. Metal finish is a dark grey patina with chips visible at the blade's edge. Ricasso is marked ""US/ADK/1863"" Opposite side is stamped ""AMES MFg Co./Chicopee/MASS"". Brass hand guard has a dark ""bronzed"" patina. Leather and wire wrap are intact and in overall good condition. Scabbard has been lightly cleaned and has a dull finish.
