"US Model 1840 Cavalry Saber by Ames (SW2023)

Description:
"Made in 1848. 36" blade with a mottled gray to brown patina. The wrap is missing on the grip and it is bare grooved wood. This sword is dated 1848, so still Mexican American war period. The scabbard has a dark brown to almost black patina.
