"34" nickel plated blade with acid etching. Hilt is cast brass. Grip is wire wrapped shark skin. Scabbard is nickel plated with brass mounts. The presentation is on the back of the scabbard. The presentation reads “Presented to/ Lient Henry Abostmick/ by his comrades of the/ N.C.S. 7th REGT. N.G.N.Y./ March 8 1901" Then below the presentation is a list of names of the Sergeant Majors and Sergeant who were the presenters’. Very Nice New York National Guard Presentation sword!
