AMES MFG. CO. U.S. MODEL 1840 MUSICIANS SWORD AND SCABBARD DATED 1862. 34 ½” overall with 28 ½” blade stamped on the ricasso “ AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE/MASS”. Obverse stamped “U.S./D/1862”. Exceptional example with all the blade polish and crisp markings. Really nice scabbard with superb leather and nice brass.
