Spanish Dated 1858 Infantry Briquette Short Sword
Made in the French infantry hangar pattern of 1770. Cast one piece D guard hilt and grip into which fastened the blade tang. Steel blade 27.25" is plum color with pitting, some small nicks in the edge & a slight bend near the tip.. Etched in the side of the blade is the date 1858 or 1853". overall length 32.5". Tight and sound.
