A Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War Deluxe Colt Special Made Leather Bound French Contoured Case For A 5 Inch Barrel Colt Percussion Baby Dragoon In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original and complete. The case has a fine & all original brown French Contoured lining inside it. There is one small wear spot in the lining towards the bottom of the compartment where the mold fits in. The rest of the lining is fine throughout. The outside of the rare box has its original factory leather covering on it. The top of the box is a coffin style. The rare gold gilted ornate key escutcheon is in excellent condition. All of the Colt made leather bound boxes like this one have this escutcheon.
