Description:
RARE BRITISH WWII DOTTING RIFLE MADE BY LONG BRANCH AND DATED 1943 IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
THIS NON GUN TRAINING RIFLE WAS USED TO GIVE THE RECRUIT THE PROPER SITE PICTURE. WHEN SHOULDERED, COCKED AND THE MUZZLE WAS PRESSED AGAINST A TARGET AND FIRED, A PIN STRUCK THE TARGET INDICATED THE POINT OF AIM. THERE IS A METAL PLATE ON THE BUTT WHICH MUST BE DEPRESSED WHEN SHOULDERED INORDER TO FIRE THE TRAINER.
WEIGHT 8.8 POUNDS - LENGTH 44 1/2 INCHES LONG.
CONDITION : VERY GOOD WITH ONE SMALL WOOD CHIP ON THE HEEL OF THE BUTT.
