Description:
This holster is as rare as they can be. A Simpson ad referenced one of these holsters as “hen’s teeth” rare. It is condition and age perfect for a WWI Bergman pistol. This Bergman Bayard M1910/21 Holster is a solid example of those used during the First World War by occupying German forces in Belgium/France, and the later model used by the Danish military. These events are consistent with my acquisition of this holster as one containing a P38 police proofed pistol. All of the stitching is sound with the exception of the small area where the top leather strap was located for the top of the cleaning rod. Below that area is a small repairable crack in leather. Elsewhere, all stitching, leather straps, metal loops, metal tip etc. are in excellent condition. Overall the holster is 98% for age. Originally, the leather appears to have been tan. There is a Danish crest on the outside of the upper flap. Inside the flap is a “1FAR” bold mark I have not been able to identify. At the base of the flap, left side, there appears to be a very faint crown over U and a series of numbers of which only 9 is obvious. PAYMENT OPTIONS: I accept USPS Money Orders and personal/business checks. Items paid with US Postal Money Orders will ship forthwith. Items paid with checks will ship when check clears. Usually within 10 days. Payment must be received within 10 days of purchase. SHIPPING: USPS Priority Mail. Will ship internationally by least USPS calculated or buyer’s choice. Shipping will be calculated to point of delivery. RETURN POLICY- None unless article is not as advertised.
