US Army USMC Marine WW2 HICKOK 3 PRONG LEATHER BAR SLING EXC 1943 Rifle Carrier marked  Hickok 43

The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) was developed for the US Army late in WW1, and proved its effectiveness in the climactic battle of the Argonne Forest. With a few improvements during the interwar period, the BAR soldiered on into WW2, and was heavily used by Marines in the Pacific. A specially designed leather sling was issued to BAR gunners during WW2, which was longer and featured three hooks as opposed to the two on the standard M-1907 rifle sling.Got a WWII Standard issue 1907 pattern sling used on the 1903 Springfield rifle and the M1 Garand Rifle made famous as the standard rifle of the U.S. military from WW2 to just before Vietnam. 

This is USGI and as you can see in the pictures.

I have no idea whatever those letters and numbers mean. My military "Stuff" and "Wartime" gear knowledge is "zilch" and am using the estate where this came from as the authority.

This is NOT a liquidation.  There are no lists and will be no lists.
