Highfiguregrips 1911 grip screw counterbore drill bit.
Description: Hello 1911 grip makers. I have been making 1911 grips for over 20 years. Here is a very important and useful counterbore drill bit for setting your 1911 grip screws. This bit will make incredibly crisp holes in a variety of the hardest hardwoods, synthetics and all Ivory materials. A little space is left around the screw head for topcoat finishes also. This will also work for the bushing base on the backsides of the grips also. Look at the photos to see the clean shoulder and overall screw head fitment. To use, simply bore 15/64" hole for your bushing locations in your material. Insert the counterbore bit and drill the clean shoulder for the screw. The pilot on the the counterbore is 15/64" and is meant to follow a 15/64" drilled hole. It's job is to make the clean shoulder cut only. This bit will last a long time.
