The classic cartridge belt that the working cowboy bought at the hardware store. Made for .45 Long Colt, .45 Schofield, .44-40, .44 special, .44 Russian, .38-40
Nickel plated buckle ~ fine natural leather ~ with laced on cartridge loops.
2 1/2 in. wide ~ holds 38 cartridges.

This belt is of light weight leather because that is how it was done in the 1870s and 1880s.

These belts were often purchased from the local hardware or general store . This is not a Hollywood rig but the real deal.
A belt like this was often worn all day long and it was thin and soft to make it as comfortable as possible. Belts like this could be loaded up to full capacity, but were often worn with only as few as a 10 cartridges.
This belt is copied from the original shown here. All of our holster designs are made from originals in our collection. Crafted for River Junction by our most talented leather-smith. Each piece is hand-made for us and cut in their shop from the hide.  The piece  is worked and tooled right on the crafter's bench and all are dyed, oiled and laced by hand as is this belt. All that at the most favorable price.

To fit your cartridge belt, add to your
waist measurement 5 - 6 inches.
For example, a 33" waist will wear a 38"
size belt, giving you plenty of room to
sling one or two holsters from your belt.
