Top Quality Floral Carved Holster for 7 1/2 inch barreled Colt and more
Description:
Original single loop floral carved holster fits a 1873 Colt SAA, a 1878 Colt, a Colt New Service, a Colt Bisley, a 1875 & 1890 Remington with 7 1/2 inch barrels, and possibly many others. This is a classic holster with floral carving and raw hide lacing along the main seam and around the toe, making it a most attractive holster. This was a popular style and worthy of high placed cattlemen of the north ranges. Very few of these are available because they are salted away in collections. These holsters were of the 80's and 90's. and beyond. A large single loop retains the pouch. Made of medium weight russet colored leather, with elaborately carved floral design on the main pouch. This holster could be worn as right hand draw or cross draw. It fits the guns you see here perfectly. The leather is soft and pliable. It would be perfect for displaying with your original vintage frontier six gun. All the lacing is strong and intact. A very nice, hard to find holster for a 7 1/2 barreled shooter as those shown here with it. A stamp on the back of the pouch reads genuine hand carved. This holster is in good condition save for the tattered lining at the top of the pouch. (See photo). 7 1/2 inch holsters are rarely found as most have been cut down for shorter guns. To find one in good condition is a rarity. There are no loose or missing stitching. My Old six shooters are not included.
