This is an original WWII Case XX Machete, which appears unissued. These were issued to US Pilots as a survival tool in case of an emergency landing. This example is in excellent condition with a dark blued finish throughout the blade and blade cover. The blade is maker stamped "CASE XX" on one side, and the edge shows no signs of sharpening. There's hint of freckling mixed throughout the finish, and some mild rub wear from the blade cover. The wood handle is excellent with tight scales and slight signs of storage. This is easily the finest example of this type I have seen.
