Description: PRAIRIE I ( March 17,1988) PRAIRIE 2 (June 22,1986) Jean Tanazacq is one of the most illustrious French cutlery artisans. His productions all exude a very strong personality, superb ergonomics, and they are closer to a piece of art than a knife. This model comes in two blade lengths 8-5/8" for the PRAIRIE 1 and 7-1/8" for its companion. Both knives are constructed and made from 1/4 " 440C steel stock, reinforced tip with a mirror polished blade. The solid brass pommel has two opening to tie up security laces, while both knives comes with a double brass guard for hand protection., rare thumb notches on top and bottom of balde on one model. Extra heavy-duty leather scabbard of the highest quality,( very few US makers offers such constructed leather scabbards today, that are very thick in their final manufacture, if not none).
