Comes with the November 1999 issue of Knife World newspaper in which I review this incredible newly introduded model. The model shown here was made but never used for the article as we used the leather,leather/stag/all-stag version for all the tests and evaluation which lasted over a period of three ( 3 ) weeks. This particular model has a special German silver butt cap as opposed to having the standard duralumin butt cap which takes a higher polish, a single brass guard with black,red,white and brass spacers at the guard same for the butt cap. Made in 1999 when Mike Stewart took over the production when still operating Blackjack Knife Company. This model was solely made for the article with the best handling charasteristics,finish and balance but it wasn't used since we really " beat" up all others supplied knives ( see some of the pile of wood we cut with these knives including 2X4's and anything you can imagine,then they were tested in the kitchen as well as if having to prepare food at a camp site). This is a one-of-a-kind model with this kind of configuration.
