This seldom seen early WW2 Marine Corp. "Fighting/Utility Knife", survives in Near Mint + ORIGINAL CONDITION. It is not only a rare knife in any condition, but in high condition it's a "Condition Rarity" as well! This example TYPE can be seen in vivid full page sharp color photos in Bill Walters "U.S. & Allied Military Knives WW2" Book 2, pgs.397-414. It is a very rare 4th Generation, Thick Pommel variation. The blade retains 95% deep blue finish, with light sharpening along the edge, which does not detract. The false edge is sharpened from the factory. Everything is tight!

The leather washer handle is tight, and mint, with sharp grooves. The crossguard is in high condition also. The thick Blued pommel is mint as well. The correct scabbard for this KA-Bar is a thin type that was even more prone to decomposition. It is in pristine near mint condition. Just look at the top snap, NO finish wear! Amazing.
