Original WWI German Small Head Practice Stick Grenade Inert
Description: This is an original Übung Stielhandgranate WWI German Practice Stick Grenade in excellent over-all condition with a heavy pressed steel, screw on head an integral belt loop and is held to the original wooden shaft by a cap with 4 round top screws and stab crimps. The body retains much of its original red paint and measures 2 3/8" diameter by 4 1/8" long. The steel belt hook is held on by two rivets. The body has 5 holes in the top of the body and three holes round the circumference. The heavy weight wooden throwing shaft has a threaded steel collar fuse cap with an eight sided end cap is held on by 2 rivets and comes with two original "Porzellan Knopf" or porcelain knobs in the end cap, a rare find. There is nice clear black stenciling on the handle "5 ½ Sekunde" fuze time and Ub.Sthdge.Bz. Although used it remains in excellent condition for display. SOLD |
