1812 INFANTRY belt ,two piece ,rare Indian Princess Head sword,pearl grips, blue & gold washed, Both in above good condition
Description: This is an extermly rare early minty set of items.The belt has the old eagle looking backwards, and is a two peice that fits together perfectly, with the original chain and hook,attached to a red moraccan leather belt with ajustable slides.The sword has an old hang tag 1987,. describing it. This indian head sword is in amazing shape, with blued blade and gold gilt,perfectly strait, it has mother of peral grips ,with a beautiful large clamshell hand guard that has a gold washed scean of the indian princess holding a shield, and eagle with wings spread ,17 STARS,the thumb guard is an eagle head , and of coarse the pommel is the indian pricesses head,. The scabbard is strait as is the blade with ornate designs down the scabbard, double hangers and the stud to attach to the belt when inside. There is a markers name , but it is unreadable. This is one of the beautiful mitita groupings I've ever seen. This is in Peterson '' THE AMERICAN SWORD 1775-1945 , PAGE 76, AND AMERICAN SWORD & MARKER, MARKS PAGE 45. 859-533-5445 DAN SOLD |
