Original US Model 1918 .30 Caliber Machine Gun Belt-Filler with Transport Chest and Spare Parts

This is a complete, original US belt-filler that has some storage wear and spots of mild surface oxidation on some of the surfaces. The machine is functional and comes complete with vertical cartridge feed chute. Additionally, the filler is accompanied by a spare .30-06 rammer, as well as a newly machined longer rammer for adapting the machine for loading 7.92 x 57mm Mauser cartridges, and a newly-made 7.92mm adapter block for the cartridge chute. The machine is housed in an original wooden transport and storage case that measures 12 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 6" and has much of the original OD green painted finish, although there is a rectangular patch of wood missing from the front face at the stenciling. The leather handle is still intact, and a photocopy of the instruction and maintenance manual is included. This is a great MG accessory with some handy modern adapter hardware, and rates fine condition overall.;
