PRICE REDUCTION TO $1400.00. Hard to find in this condition. Dated U.S. 1892. Marked Springfiled Armory. Scabbard marked S.R. - Rock Island Arsenal - WTG. RIA on Scabbard hasp. Blade shows very light sharpening on both sides, otherwise close to mint. No nicks or chips. Perfect Oak handle. Scabbard has tight stitching, some edge rubs and hint of age cracks. Still pliable and in very good condition. All in all a pristine example of a rare Military Knife. References say these were issued to U.S. Volunteers in the War with Spain. The rarest of the 1880's Indian Wars Knives.
