U.S. INDIAN WARS SABRE/SWORD HANGER

Description:
A good honest, useable, U.S. military sabre hanger, from the American Indian Wars period. It is dark brown leather, that hooks to the belt and will allow a sword to be worn. The straps are folded and riveted at the top, and folded with brass buttons at the ends. The flat brass hook is stamped L // 9. The short leather strap is stamped 10 // 9 // 6.

Strap Lengths: 23" and 9"

Strap Width: .72?

Condition: Leather is supple with some cracking of the finish – Brass has a nice age patina with some bright areas on the hook
