US Model 1904 Hospital Corps Knife W/ RIA Scabbard

Description:
This is a US Model 1904 Hospital Corps knife that measures 17 1/4" overall with an 11 7/8" curved, single-edged blade with rounded tip. The blade has an armory bright polish with scattered specks of carbon staining and some dried oil along either side and slight impact nicks along the upper part of the blade. The ricasso is marked "US / 22137" on the obverse, "SA / (flaming bomb) / 1911" on the reverse. The S-curved crossguard a mild patina, and the walnut grips are in very good condition with light handling marks and minor blemishes with one side having an old repair. The RIA-made, 1911 dated leather scabbard is in near excellent condition with most of the original blue remaining on the belt swivel and a slightly scuffed and crazed brown leather body. The knife does not sit flush in the scabbard.
