USS Rhode Island SSBN-730 & SSBN-740 Two Original Hats

Description:
Two vintage hats for the USS Rhode Island which is a United States Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine that was commissioned in 1994. The name was originally designated for the SSBN-730. However after the death of Senator Henry M. Jackson of Washington the SSBN-730 was renamed the Henry M. Jackson while still under construction. The name was transferred to SSBN-740. Included with this lot is the original issued SSBN-730 and the new SSBN-740. The SSBN-730 hat was made by Northstar in Kingston, WA and has the embroidered hat patch with yellow and silver metallic thread. The SSBN-740 hat was made by Inter-All corporation in Granby, MA with embroidery directly onto the hat. Both are as new and have never been worn. A very hard to find pair of hats in this condition.
