Soviet NSP-2 Night Vision Scope
Developed in the 1960's the NSP-2 is a Generation Zero night vision device,working on "active infrared" principles like the WW II U.S. M2 "sniper scope".This unit is fitted with a filtered halogen lamp,which serves as the infra red emitter,positioned above a cathode tube receiver/display unit,whichservesas the sight used by the operator and is fitted with integral windage and elevation knobsas well as a overallmarkings are cyrillic ,including a range chart for use with the AK rifleand RPD machine gun with a standard Soviet-style rail clamp mount. Also a power switch fitted with a glow in the dark tip(contents unknown ).Included with the scope is a alloy battery carrier,2 spare lamps,2 batteries and all the paperwork shown in pics with log book and misc. parts. There is no return on this item. If the batteries are not hooked upright it will damagethe unit. The optics and illuminator has not been tested. Great condition very little wear.
